No, this was not used as the insert, 3-sheet, or window card (though all 3 use a similar design and layout), this is unique to the pressbook.
The insert does give the best view of all 3 photos that were used in the design of the pressbook cover, ranging from the tinted-photo of Hobson to the full-on artwork of Lanchester.

Thanks. It is fascinating that Universal chose to create and desogn a "poster" for the PB cover, complete with credits. Kudos to them for going with such a complete idea. clap

Very cool, Jeff..."the story of a beautiful woman without a conscience" (sounds like my ex-wife).

Bruce has a boatload of eye-poppin' lithos ending later today.
That's where I saw this stunning example of art from a time long gone.

Brude

What is especially cool about that Slaves in Bondage poster is that almost all the known posters on this (and other 1930s sexploitation titles) are actually from 1940s "roadshow" re-releases (when wily promoters would take movies like this to small towns and show them only on Friday and Saturday nights, just like the midnight shows of decades later).

This is one of the only first release posters on one of these titles I have ever seen!

That is interesting info, Bruce.
It helps to put together some of the other puzzle pieces in our unique hobby.
I was also caught by this other beauty ending today with Mary Astor and Gilbert Roland.
Great artwork...
I think it's interesting to note that this three sheet pic which I hotlinked from Moviegoods.com is the exact image lifted from your auction.  They are quick li'l buggers, aren't they...

SLAVES IN BONDAGE certainly is a beaut, Bruce and Ted. And I havent come across the Globe Litho company name before. The main subject of this poster is beautiful and captured with such detail and nuance. Fantastic!   thumbup
