Interesting. Of course as we know sometimes the images change from the Pressbook to the final release. But certainly the image you posted looks longer than a one-sheet.
do the other one-sheets all show the Universal logo?
We do know there is at least one copy of each of the eight(!) style one-sheets known to exist. Mary Philben was actually given a set as a gift and her nephew (grand-nephew?) was shopping them all around several years back.
The Styles L, N, P & H all look to have the Universal name on them. Styles J and O (which looks like a fact/text style poster) do not look to have the Uni name on them.
And I agree..that color image looks larger than a one sheet for sure.
I will see if I can take a pic of the page that has the images. The original imagery isnt the best, as it was probably blown up a bit to fit on the 8.5x11 book page.
And what a story about Mary Philbin and her great nephew shopping those OS around. Do you know if they ever sold? And if so, at what auction? Or maybe they were a private sale?
She's someone I would have loved to have met. I remember trying to locate her when I was in college. She passed away in 1993, but from what I read, she suffered from dementia in her last years. And I also learned that she lived on Fairfax, in the same house she'd been in for decades. To have only known that then and taken a drive, and gone to say hello.
