so dig this folks..
2 weeks ago, Heritage sold a Casablanca 1949R international style

I know exactly what this poster is, because I have had it. Heritage did indeed have this poster described correctly
When I first got the copy I had, I was a little confused because it's a poster that has had different descriptions.
HA actually sold it before as a military style, back in 2006, but I knew this had to be a mistake because the military did not get their posters printed by NSS - but it did have a clue - there was no NSS stamp on the back of the poster
to people who know their stuff, no NSS stamp on such a poster is in general a note that it is for international distribution.
So I did what any intelligent person would do - I went to ask someone who would know. Maybe the best expert I've ever known in movie posters - Dan Strebin and Dan immediately knew it was the international poster.
so now, last week, another copy was sold and I have absolutely no clue what-so-ever makes anyone come to the conclusion this poster is a commercial reprint and sells it for just $106.00
http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=5149136here is the Heritage copyand here is a 1949R regular stylehere is a comparison side by side of a 1949 & the copy sold for $106 that I have colorized to try to match it.
I have no idea how anyone can think the one on the right is a reproduction of the one on the left.
The tonal qualities of the 3 color poster cannot be matched, nor can parts of the image in general
