Hi Eric, When the first Argentinean one sold, it was the only known large poster, right? Since then three more large posters have come to public sale, including this one. I was wondering, too, if it would sell. Very cool image, though I've alway been concerned if a print of the movie is found would it hold up? If it didn't hold up, how would that effect auction demand? Of course there is always vice versa as well, eh? Okie
Makes you wonder, for sure, okie. Ive read some reviews of LAM, from even back in the day, where the critics werent kind to it, saying it was a bit of a potboiler and slow/corny in spots. I think the mystique lies in the dual role of Chaney, especially when, in the movie, he dresses as this vampire character, in order to solve a murder (i think it was).
And to see that fave/character/makeup in action, so to speak, rather than just as still shots.
If a copy was ever found, I think people would be very happy to know that one of the holy grails of the lst, silent cinema had been found. And, who knows... finding a print and having it out in the public, could drive material like this Arg OS price higher? or could have the opp. effect.
Would be interesting to see, and know, in the least case.
