Now that you have the Photobucket functions down pat, we're all interested in what other beauties you have in your collection.
Start your own thread, post away...give us a good-see.
Excuse me if I'm pushy.  wynk

Will do, thanks Brude.

To be fair the "before" pic was taken with an iPhone (always over-saturates), directly under my dining room light (hot spot).  I wouldn't base your comments on the colors anyway.

Point taken though, I think it turned out fantastic!

Cool.  Just checked out his site http://lumiereposter-restoration.com/our-gallery.html and saw your Apocalypse Now B0.

This thread makes me want to stop postponing sending a few of my posters to be restored.  8)

Matt, Gratz!

I love.  LOVE! Your My Favorite Wife.

The movie is a comedy and has one of my favorite scenes all time and the poster DOES do it justice

Unlike Attack of the 50ft Woman, which is a TERRIBLE film!

Curious what scene you are talking about... the court scene?  I do love this poster.  I'd be curious to know if there was a style B with this art: http://www.movieposterdb.com/poster/6cdb25f6  The art on that DVD covers looks to be from the same vintage...

As for my favorite poster, I think it would have to be this French 2p.  However, it's just too damn big!  I would love to see what the 1p looks like, but alas I've never been able to track down an image.

Thanks for the kind words all.  I missed a My Favorite Wife 1-sheet on eBay years ago and have been searching for one since -- until I scooped up this one from Bruce this spring.  I'm actually a bit surprised that it seems to getting more attention than the Attack.  The 50ft Woman an epic poster and I adore the image, but that is definitely a case of being interested in the poster purely for aesthetic reasons.  The ultimate for me is when you get a great poster for a great movie -- and MFW definitely fits the bill.

What a great crowd y'all are!   cheers

Movie Poster Art Gallery, London, UK

Commissioned work: LB and restoration (missing paper and general damage)

Cost: £160

POSTER: The Barefoot Contessa (1954). Argentinian poster. Condition: fair to good.

PROS: It was local, no shipping costs and no hassle. Quick turn around and Tim was a pleasure to deal with, polite and very nice.

CONS: quality of  the work Poor/medium poor I was not impressed. The poster had some pencil and car tire marks and cameback with them, it looks very dirty. I will not bring any other posters back. BUT glad I went and gave it a try. Not one of my favourite Bogart posters so not a great loss, but certainly not happy with the work.  Another poster that goes back to the closet.

Note: I dont want to ship out my posters to US or anywhere else. So I see no other option for me in the UK but: To Buy restored posters a/or buy premium posters (no need to restore). 3rd option, stop buying altogether- which I have done for the time being, to regain my strength- and faith in this hobby...

So..here we go..ready..steady.....go....

BEFORE/AFTER 1

BEFORE/AFTER 2

BEFORE/AFTER 3 (PENCIL MARKS /CAR TIRE MARKS)

RESTORED- BOGART
