Who can come up with a clever caption for this pic?

Seller: Buyer St. Jude. Allow me to introduce myself. I am eight-toe Ernst Seller.  I can not bend at the waist but luckily have more than full mobility in my neck from lifting my six-2.5 lb weights everyday for the past 7 years. My Daddy told me this poster once hung and was destroyed in Hong Kong.  But I just discovered it inside my crater.
Jude: Yes, this poster may be on its second life.
Seller: Posters only live twice, Mr. Jude.

Ok, I tried my best... St. Jude - Patron Saint of Lost Causes

Only used once or twice, after workouts, to remove the tinea between my toes

Perhaps this is a little ahead of the game, but does anyone who works in these fields know whether there is going to be an advance teaser for Skyfall - rather like there was for Quantum that had a total of three posters for it.

So a sort of advert for the fact that the film has commenced production.

Cheers.

Other than any promotional artwork you might find in trade magazines I doubt you will find anything official yet.

However, as next year marks the 50th anniversary of the 'cinematic' adventures of 007 I very much suspect Sony will be preparing quite an extensive advertising campaign throughout the build-up to release, especially considering the high calibre cast they've assembled which might warrant several character posters.

I expect the first teaser trailer (and poster) will probably appear with the Sony release of Men in Black 3 in May and the final trailer possibly with Total Recall in August.

Yup - normally I would have said the same.

Which might then make Quantum an anomoly with its first poster released at the very beginning of filming.

Marler Haley is a display company based in the UK.
They produced their own displays consisting of a UK Quad and 4 UK Double Crowns for Odeon Cinemas in the UK.
The sets ran from Diamonds Are Forever through to A View To A Kill.
Best wishes,
Adam

And needless to add, they are all quite rare (even if they are ugly!).

Wish I had all the sets from all the movies!
It's the different posters like the Marler Haley sets that interests me the most!
Some of them might be ugly, but they are great fascinating in my opinion!

And here are the images for the complete Octopussy set.  1 Quad with 10x8 stills with the credits removed (they must have been a special set), plus the four DCs.

Cheers.

That tiger design is pretty rare.

You still need to send these individual images, Simes, so I can get them on the website  ;D
The quad doesn't usually contain the credits from what I have seen.

Best,
Adam

Yeah, I know.  I am not looking forward to it as the stills glued to the poster will make it a right ball ache to keep flat.  The DCs will be no problem.

As for credits, I guess there wouldn't be a need for them on the Marler quad as it would always be displayed as six posters, the main quad front and centre and providing the credits.  At least that is how I saw them displayed.

Cheers.

I had a quick look tonight at the US Pressbook - nothing in there about Esso tie ins.

Indeed, even though this was the biggest P/b by far for the Bond series, it was all posters and blocks.  There were absolutely no advertised company tie ins listed whatsoever.

Doesn't look as though this will go any further.

(Although, stupidly, I didn't look at my UK Campaign book...  This weekend.)

Yup.

Trying to figure whether the line, 'put a tiger in your car' has any relevance to the Esso ad of the time.

It was the same here in the U.K.   Tank, NOT car...
