Hey Harry,

No, it doesn't. It looks quite different.
I might dig that one out on Friday as you haven't seen it before and get that photograph done and dusted.

That's a nice example of the TSWLM Seiko quad. Nice one!

You have the Thunderball VOIT programme, don't you??

Adam

Thanks, it is almost a tri-fold!  I just collect posters... no rare Bond ephemera like Voit tie-ins for me.  I look forward to that YOLT advance.

Folks, I am not entirely sure about the Russia quad being a teaser.  I am aware there is a school of thought that says it is a poster variation for Leicester square.

But, perhaps I am wrong.

Here's the other one sold at Christie's. Looks like the "Stowaway" ad has been taped onto the bottom.

Both were described as "advance" posters.

Indeed, and I accept I could be wrong.

But Tony Nourmand described all sorts of stuff in his Bond Poster book which was blatantly wrong.  Lobby cards as quads and vice versa ...

Just a query.

Not sure if this counts... have had this for quite a while now, just need a bit of room to hang it!

Weirdly the instructions show a different version!

* Edit: was a bit of an idiot earlier, when rolling the banner back up the instructions image was on the other side!

Just a couple of Trade Ads, as we all seem to be in Bond mode.

Though this one could help with regards, date. This double bill was released on 28th June 1968. How much more accurate do you need. Trade Ads and pressbooks, a mine of info.

I may have miss judged Tim Dalton...   No, He's still my least favourite Bond.

Just been delving to the bottom of my Quad draw and found this, as usual a bit boring compared to what's been posted before!

Hardly boring, in fact (or in my humble opinion) it's quite a striking image and completely walks over the Style B (Speed 2  :P ) advance with Brosnan & Berry.

If I recall there was some speculation that there was an image apparently hidden within the ice but I never found it. The other interesting fact is the creative team used the wrong gun (a Beretta instead of the Walther) which caused a minor uproar amongst the purists at the time.

Paul.

Hi guys,

I may not get any images uploaded here today as I took over 150 photographs yesterday.
And I still have over 30 images to sort from last week.

The way I had my posters stored were in order of film, with Casino Royale '67 and Never Say Never Again along with double bills etc coming last.
I have photographed the following (that were stored flat):
Double bills etc.
Casino Royale '67.
Never Say Never Again.
Casino Royale '06.
Quantum of Solace.
Die Another Day.
The World Is Not Enough.
Tomorrow Never Dies.
GoldenEye.

Harry, sorry I never got to take a photograph of the YOLT Advance.
I'll get to it as soon as I can, mate.

Best,
Adam
Best wishes,
Adam

Thanks for the update - all sounds very interesting.

Once I see what I have that you don't (and I cannot think what that might be with your having three versions of a Mr teaser poster), I will happily provide to the cause.

Cheers.

No sweat.  I'm just curious about some of the rarer quads as I just (stupidly) started a quad collection.  I'm actually well on my way with the regular posters (minus the Connerys), but I'm sure it would take a lifetime to track down all the double bills, teasers/advances, glossy/matte variants, special posters, Marler Haley's, Seiko/other promotional posters, etc...  Craziness!  What was I thinking starting this now?

And that doesn't even include the non-quad ephemera!  1-sheets, double crowns, foreign posters, Handbills, tie-in advertising posters, and on and on...

Yes.  I agree.

Looking at Adam's site, even I wasn't aware of all the variants of 1 sheets.  I am not sure I will be going back to collect all these variants now, but I am aware that if one such variant crops up at the time of the film's release, I will probably acquire it.

For my part, I have concentrated on purely the US and UK produced material in an effort to ensure I don't go chasing off into the Indonesian jungles for some spurious version.

As for Marler Hayleys, I am interestedin these but only as a complete set of the five posters.  From my own experience, I have seen portions of these presentations from Diamonds through to Living Daylights.  I believe these were the only films represented by these Marlers.  I personally own the full Octopussy set - as illustrated in this thread.

Would be interested to see what Adam has, as he seems to own all sorts ...

Welcome aboard Harry.  ;)

Well to be clear, I started a Bond quad collection.  I have always bought the odd quad now and again, but I figured if I was going to collect Bond, there was only one way to go.  Do you collect Bond as well?  What sort of gems have you acquired over the years?

That's how it Starts Harry ;)

I have picked a few up over the years, I should of picked up more. My Goldfinger was £5, the most I paid was £12 for Diamonds are forever. To busy buying other things (not posters ).

Not counting Brosnan I have a quad from all bar three of the Bond movies, but I'm on the look out for a bargain price on those three. ;D
