Never before seen country of origin poster for a classic si-fi whose normal CoO pieces are relatively hard to find. I think that one may be a premier poster or something. I was willing to pay considerably more than the top end estimate, but that price tag was too big for me.
Frankie insert coming up - restoration might keep it from blowing up:Final price: $262,000
$6500 for Marihuana (1936 US 1S) - way over estimates - pothead bidder?
Someone just made the comment on MoPo that $260K was about what it cost to make the movie back then...
MoPo is a great site to navigate around with a fabulous layout....NOT!!!Have you done a forum website design Dave?
You should set it up to come through on email which is how it was designed to work, as a mailing list not really as a website. Simply subscribe via email, read this: http://www.filmfan.com/pages/faq_1.html#1.1 Best thing is you can then set your email program to filter the crap posts out, ie Mexicans
Citizen Kane Style A - $38K, with rather uninspiring tagline....
Better than the original tagline of "A New Cure for Insomnia"
+1 Christ, what I would have given for that poster. The estimate was such a tease.
I think this was the bargain of the day..$657...A Capra's film, Walter Brennan..Cooper and Stanwyck...rolled... and it went for a very good price. Meet John Doe (Warner Brothers, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Good catch - I assumed that was linen-backed.
I was mistaken,
Someone stole this for that price.
