Getting back on the topic, I totally agree with Neo. I was just questioning the justification for Cinemasterpieces' set prices.
It comes down to something as simple as:
1) Dave (or his consignor, or his consignor in conjunction with Dave) pick a price - that choice could be based any innumerable reasons
2) Dave lists the poster for sale at the agreed price
3) Dave achieves sales results at that price consistently
4) Due to continuous successes at realizing sales at the set price(s) Dave continues with his business model
We can groan about it all we want but we do not have to buy from him. And obviously if we were in his (or his consignor's) shoes why would we change a thing when his method can be proven to bring in sales results? It is not his fault that people want to give him what he is asking - failing to perform even cursory research on price points or alternative purchasing options is on the buyer - caveat emptor in the end as they say...
