you mean "below the low estimate" which clearly had noting to do with the reserve on the item, which in this case was 15k, which was the opening bid on the item

to continue the above comment, they generally have a formula that relates the low estimate to the opening bid. so some items I had low est at $300 started at $90 (a 30% ratio) and $1000 low est was $500 open (50%). for the DTESS 6sh, because the first bid was $15k, it is obvious the ratio on that poster was 30% as well
you can be sure of this: the opening bid on any item in their auction will win if there is no competition. No reserve will be above opening bid for anything
