Italian 2F (39x55 in) for Howling II (1985). From all I've read, the movie is quite a stinker, even tho the script was written by the author of the original Howling story. It also stars Christopher Lee.

The poster art, by Kirby, almost has a comic book feel it. And I think it works very well, even tho the imagery has little to do with the actual film. The poster also has a snipe attached over the original distributor's name in the upper right corner. Tho it's not intrusive, it could still be removed, but it doesnt bother me (at least right now).  ;D

Lyn, you've got to be closing in on a full WZ set, congrats.

Never seen the Howling II - quite lovely, and it has the same vibe as the French moyenne for Curse of the Werewolf.  Would be interesting to see them together on a wall.  The first Howling is my absolute favorite werewolf film, I don't ever recall seeing #2 either or any of the seemingly unending number of sequels for that matter.

Thanks Lynn. And that coming from the horror meister.  notworthy.gif

Peter, i think the first Howling is a great flicker, too. No doubt. Dee Wallace, Christopher Stone, John Carradine and Joe Dante's direction are fantastic. And Rob Bottin's makeup FX--creepy to be sure.

This one, tho, I think failed on many levels (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howling_II:_Your_Sister_Is_a_Werewolf). It was even mentioned later on (and after the fact) that Christopher Lee was was not happy he had signed on to be in this film.

But I think this Italian poster is cool.

I've been on a fool's quest to get all of the "greens", the 38 re releases on DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN, WHITE ZOMBIE and THE OLD DARK HOUSE.  ODH is not as much of a priority as the first three.  But, one more on WZ and D and the book is closed on them.  FRANK needs 7 and ODH all 8.  I just hope there's enough sand left in the hour glass to get'm all, 49% and counting  :).

Came across and (literally) picked this one up, on Monday, from a local seller.

Rolled, US SS OS for John Carpenter's Vampires (1998). I think this poster design works really well for a "modern." And you can't go wrong with Sheryl Lee - who will forever be, for me -- Laura Palmer.   thumbsup.gif

That is a mighty fine poster Ari and honestly notwithstanding the purists it would not look nearly as awesome with folds. I approve this message!   thumbsup.gif
