I would post some of my acquired items, but the sad fact is, Paul kinda gets there first.  Making anything I do to be Johnny-come-lately and pointless.

SPECTRE quads, Piracy, and banners all now acquired but, a bit late in the day.

(Note to self to start a new interest.)

A couple arrived today.

2 stone litho Argentinean OS.

The Girl Downstairs (MGM, 1938), with Franchot Tone & Franciska Gaal (She played the same role in the Austrian film, called Katharina, die Letzte (Catherine the Last), made by Universal's Austrian subsidiary, in 1936).

I like how this poster left a blank imprint area at the bottom, too.

The Great Moment (Paramount, 1944), written and directed by the very talented Preston Sturges. The poster art on this was done by the unknown artist who's mark includes the Greek letter omega.

I got a fair few this month, I posted some to NSFGE so in the spirit of giving I'll post mainly different ones here. A couple I'll double post as I THINK someone here will enjoy them.

A guilty pleasure of mine

I've hand a few of these over the years but never kept one for myself, always regretted it, so I got one to keep.

While in the uk last year we travelled to the town this was set in specifically because I love this film, but somehow never thought of getting a poster, so I couldn't resist when it was on offer.

These two are just special.

Not a nice poster, but I love the film so bad, I have the locandina which is beautiful, I'd like a quad one day. In fact it might be a title I will start collecting seriously when he'll drivers slows down a bit more.
Daphne DM is in my top three writers, (with Poe and Heinlein), and ROEG is one of my favourite directors, so to have a movie that is from both is just heaven. And he did it so well.

Another I've owned many times over the years, all gone, and a film I just loved as a kid, when King was my favourite author, (then I discovered Poe aged 12 and I just never enjoyed reading King again, anyway) at the time, this was like the DONT LOOK NOW, favourite writer and favourite director. I have grown up, but the film is still a happy memory

I must have read the book 20,000 times. Jules Verne was and is a favourite of mine. Can't go wrong.

Agreed, I got it mainly for my love of the book, the film is ok, but the book is superb.

Here's one I've been trying to get ever since I started collecting Bardot.  Wolfgang said it is only the 2nd one he's seen in all his years as a dealer, so I wasn't going to let that one pass me by.

La Femme et le Pantin (A Woman Like Satan) (1959)

A few more that I got in the past week (sorry Jeff).

Les Naufrageurs (1959).  This one by Guy Gerard Noël is actually a double panel...  My pictures are awful, I apologize, but they actually look quite nice next to each other.

Green Dolphin Street (1947) (by Boris Grinsson)

Fahrenheit 451 (1966).  Another Noël.

And this Jap. B2.  No need to name the movie.  Just because I had to get it.

I'm expecting a big haul soon.  Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.  Can't wait.

Oh yeah, I forgot, for those of you who like photobustas, here is a set for Live and Let Die that I paid way too much for and I'm not happy about it.

Killer!!  notworthy.gif

This looks like its signed. Who's the artist, T? It almost looks like Grinsson's name written to her right? (I cant make it out, tho).

Nice wins, T.  That one featuring Ms. Bardot is a beaut.

A lot of photobustas in that good of condition, especially in complete sets, are like unicorns, eh?  When you consider that, maybe you weren't "over-paying" so much, and it's a darn cool set.  thumbup

Don't know, Jeff, but whoever it is, I really like his style.  I can't remember the last time I truly got excited by a poster, but this one is it.  Probably one of my best Bardots.  I might even consider framing it.  I probably won't, but I will consider it.

T

But it's not Grinsson, I can tell you that much.  Even in my drunken football state.   ;)

Not quite true Simon, you do have all those variations I don't have. I promise I'll check with you next time I get a new Bond item before I post it... ;)

T, as a comparison, only.. what do you think of this other, first release, German style? I like the double profile with Bardot and Satan behind her.

This one was done by a German artist named Ahrle.

Jeff, I have replaced your picture with mine, without the emovie name on it.

Design wise, I like the black version better, even though the Ahrle is really nice.  It is also much rarer than the Ahrle version, which I had seen a few times before I bought it, but not since.  I think these are two really cool posters, to be honest.  The Italian is also beautiful.
