One of my best tips for protecting your posters is to protect it from UV rays.
This doesn't only apply to posters that are in view of direct sunlight but also posters displayed in indirect sunlight (for example: cloud shade). UV rays are very small and not opaque to cloud shade and other things such as tinted windows. In other words, the UV rays can still pass through a cloud to damage your posters and just like skin damage, UV damage is cumulative which is why it is best to always protect your posters from UV rays (and why you should always wear sun screen even on a cloudy day!)
