The guy has bid many times on the posters linked above, always early, always high.  Sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses, but he keeps coming back at it, every week, bidding on some more BTTF, or Blade Runner...  Always the same titles.  Which has prompted a few to question his motives.  Thus the name Doofus  ;)

It's not always early bidding.  You must always beware of Jaws, as I saw him bid on a 40"x60" Taxi Driver a few months ago, and he did not put his first bid in until the last few minutes before the auction closed.

I always wondered about this person too and what he does with multiple copies of the same poster, unless he's a dealer.  It seems that he and I have occasionally overlapping tastes and usually there are a handful of posters that I consider bidding on but see that he already has bid on them.
