Best Packaging From Italy I've Ever Seen
« on: June 08, 2013, 03:29:24 PM »
So finally I have proof that someone out of Italy can actually ship a folded poster in something other than a bubble wrap envelope with zero protection.  I think this is going in a display cabinet since packaging like this from Italy for a poster is so rare...

A double layer fairly strong cardboard rectangular box, which was completely covered in that slick brown tape, and a layer of bubble wrap on top.  It's not Bruce's nuclear bomb resistant packing, but for something out of Italy it's clear they were actually trying.  So kudos.  Thought it was worth sharing since usually all we talk about around here is how we got screwed by a seller in Italy.

I would just leave it unopened and display the package in the cabinet as you said

External bubble wrap is quite odd though.

That's a new one I haven't seen, either.

Better safe than sorry, is what that seller must have been thinking.   ;D

Kind of like an exoskeleton. Weird!

It would be pretty damn funny if someone in customs sat there and popped every bubble on the package lol. POP POP POP.

Maybe THAT explains why it takes so long for some packages to get through!!

This package actually arrived surprisingly fast, like within two weeks!  I guess I've been lucky in the past.  I've only had a couple packages ever take very long.

I get most of my posters linen backed but it must be quite frustrating for those that don't want em backed.
