Larger pic of the 1938rr coming up at HA auction:

The studio decided to get a bit creative with their first reissue of Dracula, and issued the film with green tinting on some of the prints. To mirror the green tinted prints, the studio issued a one sheet that used the same dark greens and black, giving the headshot of Lugosi a very menacing pose. The image of Lugosi is as classic as it gets- and is incredibly similar to the original style A one sheet.

This same copy (Provenance; The Latrobe Collection, The Nicolas Cage Collection) was last sold, in November of 2008, at HA's Sig auction. It realized $33,460.00, inc. the BP.

Flip time.  ;)

And it looks like they air-brushed it with a whole new shade of green! eyeroll

Yes, Jeff...it is cool, isn't it?
I've been trying to find an image of the interior pages, but no luck so far.

And while not film posters, these paintings of Karloff, from 3 of Universal's horror classics, show that artist, Basil Gogos, does it like nobody's business:  clap clap
