Was also fun to see the assortment of Tom & Jerry OS today, on EMP. The early cartoons (from the '40s), done by MGM for use in theaters, were terrific, with top notch animation.

It was neat to see all those at eMovie.  The cartoons are great, as well as many others from the good ol' days.  And great posters for them.

I sat out of that sale for reasons everyone knows about.  Would be interesting to see what some members got.

Cleopatra held, and then finished at $17,200.00 this evening, on EMP.  clap clap clap clap

It was this price earlier today, so there were no last minute bids in the 11th hour.

Yeah, I'd never pay that much for a poster, but the Cleo 'tis pretty.  Would rather have it than the Bride of Franky PB.

And the Cleo OS was only about $13K less.   :o

With the recent Keaton chatter, I think someone did very nicely on this OS for Sidewalks of New York (1931).

It went tonight for $1325.00

Congrats to the new owner!   thumbsup.gif

I won an Alice in Wonderland LC, but paid dearly for it.  I usually hate it when folks split up lobby card sets, but I doubt the set would have fetched the $807 achieved by selling them individually.

jay, do you have a pic of the LC you won? Would love to see it.

And congrats on your win!   thumbup

Did someone from the forum win this?  If so, congrats!  It's a wonderful poster.

I just watched this a couple of weeks ago.  Somebody posted a link to that movie.  The film was classic keaton and I am seriously jealous of your win.  Congratulations.

That is a cracking card fella.  A real beaut!

Clearly we are talking to the converted here, but I can't see why Everyone doesn't want something like this in their possession.  (Or maybe I can since the prices demonstrate such)

Congrats.

Actually, I think the BTTF Adv is right where it should be.  On the modern stuff, stupidity is The Enforcer and Jaws 2 ($5k+), finally coming to their senses is LA Confidential (still way to high at $1.4k imo), and below what I thought is American Werewolf (only $900), Alien Adv ($800) and ET Adv ($600, although that copy is in terrible shape, so it probably makes sense).
