I thought this had no text, but sometimes you can be wrong. I'm posting it as it took me 45mins digging through my Disney draw.

ISLAND AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD... thumbup
Wow, I've never seen that version, Paul. Is the artist's name on it?
Brush strokes and colors remind me of Jack Rickard..

Great thread.  Tough to find "pure" image posters but here are a few that heavily emphasize the image and distinctly minimize the text:

Let's not forget almost every Pixar poster.
EDIT: Sorry for the hotlinks. Fixed it.

Well, this thread seems more like a teaser thread... but I'll go with it.

Harry, The posters are suppose to have no text at all, but we are struggling a bit as you can see. Nice The Haunting by the way.

That Cloverfield should be in the nice poster, crap film section.

Ted, I cannot find any name on the IATTOTW poster. Dug the other one out for a look and nothing on that either. I will post it though, as it's not got much text on. ;)

Thanks, Paul
That's a beaut, too.
After I posted asking for the artist's sig, I remembered one of the many reasons I have issue with Disney:
Not only do they refrain from dating their posters (in most cases), but they rarely -- if ever -- credit their poster artists for the great images produced to market their films.
Just a personal pet peeve...

 uhno

Ah, Paul, I thought Cloverfield was one of the best movies of 2008!
Pure monster flick with a modern edge! But that's just my youngish opinion  ;D
Best wishes,
Adam

I just don't get the wobbly camera films, don't get me wrong the film had potential, but the wobbly camera just cheapens it, and makes it seem so amateurish. I know it's meant to, but it's not for me.

I liked CLOVERFIELD also. Cool film.
I almost forgot another favorite from my Spidey collection...
...and yes, it is an original.
One of my favorite images and characters from the series.

It's THE LEGEND OF ZORRO, the 2005 sequel to MASK OF ZORRO (1998), both starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas (as the new Zorro).  Both are worth watching and -- as you can plainly see -- there ain't much better than Catherine in a corset with a sword...

Here's the companion teaser, which I also have...one for the ladies....

Yeah, I know what you mean...
...a few of my friends who are into films in a big way hated it because of the way it was filmed.
I suppose it's a 50/50 thing - I liked it and appreciated it, just like I did with The Blair Witch Project.

Ted, I have this poster too and I agree it is very nice.
Best wishes,
Adam

I might as well weight in.

I'm not particularly a fan of shaky cam either. I can hardly watch Paul Greengrass movies because of his camera style. I've always been a fan of constant fluid motion when it comes to action scenes.

Agreed, Arch.  thumbup  As was noted above -- this is a hard category as it seems the posters that contain the least amount of text, are teasers. But a couple examples above, are a bit too text heavy for this thread (the most obvious being the poster for EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED).
