Hi guys,
I've been looking at a few of the collections on the forums; there is some fabulous gear in our modest community.
What prompted me to create this topic was the horror posters I have been in awe of, from ladykillers collection on MPF to Paul Waines collection here, not discounting everyone else's of course!
There are a few members here who collect only one type of genre, director, actor etc.
Then there are members here who collect everything under the Sun.
I wonder if anyone here thinks the same as, or similar to, me?
Obviously, I collect mainly Bond posters, and a few others, but I love, absolutely LOVE horror posters pretty much over everything (bar Bond)!
I think horror is the only art form where literally anything can go; some of it is terrible - so bad it's good - and some is just out of this world!
When Paul visited me a few weeks ago, I said to him horror posters are my other passion, but I don't want to start collecting the older stuff.
He asked me why, and I replied
'because if I get into it, I will want to buy more & more, and I don't want to'.
This is a personal nightmare for me.
To put it simply:
I have to restrain myself from buying any older horror gear.
I know people do, and will say, that if I like it, then I should just collect it! ...
... But does anyone else feel the same way as I do, or understand what I mean?
Best,
Adam
