Pirates of Blood River is great, and if you've never seen the movie I highly recommend it.

Paul do you know who did the art for the Blood River quad?

The style, particularly Lee's image, reminds me of Chantrell.

Is the Triffids poster supposed to match the wallpaper behind it - or is that just a lucky coincidence?

It's just coincidence Simon..  Yvonne isn't keen on Horror posters up in the main part of the house, so it's what you would call a compromise.. ;)

I'll check on that Jeff, I sure it's not a Chantrell, but I maybe wrong...

Thanks, Paul.

It was more the heavy, dark outline around the image if Lee that made me think of Chantrell, as that is something he often did, too.

Wall o' giallo locandine

all original first edition of course
and sorry for the bad lighting/odd angle.

Dead Alive 1 sheet. theatrical version? never seen this version before but it came from a fellow collector who got it directly from a theatre in 93'.

And that's how far I got until I got sick of framing and now I just store them flat. I'll frame some more as time goes on tho. I'll post the rest of my collection on here in few weeks.

Good stuff, e! Interesting to contrast the Dead Alive poster with the poster in the UK for Braindead...quite different in tone!

Welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing more of your collection.

Thanks! Yes they are quite different, definitely shows two sides of the movie.

Thanks everyone else, glad you like them. And yeah after years of 'clever' usernames I prefer a more minimalistic approach now  :P

Whose the guy with the shades in the top poster with the receding hairline. Is that Johnny Depp? He looks like Fred Dyer (TV's "HUNTER" from the 80s). Ha!  Nice additions though.

Not stolen or rearranged.  Everything had to be taken down to comply with fire codes.

It's interesting how the owners left all the picture hangers on the wall.

Framed works on a wall are breaking a fire code? I wonder how? And idea, Brandon? It's not like random, "naked" paper is thumb tacked to the walls. Or is it because they are hung in a stairwell?

Correct.  Per the fire code, there can not be anything in the stairwell.

A lot of the stuff was pretty cool.  There was a nice painting, a classic French one panel size poster for Maurin Quina, etc., that gave this joint a kinda funky vibe going toward the front door.  Of course, it's better to be safe, though.

Makes sense.

In a rush to get down stairs, frames could get knocked off the walls and cause people to trip or even get cut from broken frame glass.. things like that.
