Looks maybe to be the Daybill rereleased in '49?  Heritage has a pic of one that looks similar.  Either way, it's amazing.  One of my favorite Daybills ever  bed1

Yes it's the 1949 re-release but it has basically the same art as the original three sheet

Was a daybill made for the original release?

I imagine it would have been released in Australia.  After all Frankenstein and Dracula originally were (only to be banned later on).  It would be a long daybill (15x40 or so vs. 13x30) however and I bet, since daybills quite often copied three sheet artwork, it might even be the same.  That said I have no knowledge of one still existing.

I'm sure it was released back around the year of original release in AU, too, Chris. I was just commenting (and hoping) it might have been listed on imdb for a quick reference point.  ;)

A few additions to the classics wall in the living room. MAD LOVE press book cover, French FRANKENSTEIN ad, and DRACULA on a Belgian magazine.

CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED Belgian on the stairwell wall.

I think CotD is under-rated.  Not as good as VILLAGE but enjoyable none the less.  Yeah, the eyes are perfect.

My pair of Danish Hitchcock posters for "The 39 Steps" and "The Lady Vanishes".  Both are from circa 1951 rereleases.  I especially like the artwork of the train and automobile on the "The Lady Vanishes".
