Zine on ad mats for films that were never made
« on: May 02, 2023, 01:47:49 PM »
The US film distributor A24 recently published this 'zine for advertising material for films that were announced but never actually produced. Not strictly poster related but thought this might be of interest to some folk here.

The Croneneberg Frankenstein caught my eye, too! Given what he did with The Fly, I'd love to see his take on the Shelley classic!

Incidentally, I've ordered the 'zine but I haven't got it in my hands quite yet.

Did you ever receive the 'zine?

Yes! A while ago. It's very cool. It's mainly black & white, with a small number of colour pages. There's also an article about Cannon films, too. Mostly, just ad mats reproduced with a small amount of text accompanying each one. I think it was about $6, so not exactly expensive, and it makes a nice addition to the shelves, I'd say. It's still available on the A24 website.

Thanks for the prompt reply!  The zine sounds cool, maybe I'll order one too.
