its an amazing stout at that, how many screens is it? Im guessing at least 7-8 on the low side.

someone mentioned stouts looking like mount rushmore and not having enough color. obviously that person does not realize what work screen printing is. tyler's posters always have 4-6 colors/screens and that is actually a good amount.

back to this akira... Its AMAZING. it looks like one sold for 750, but first it looks like some ass clown paid 1500 for it

I never trust the super high sales right in the beginning .. I always put that towards some eBay ass-hat trying to set a false market value in hopes that his other auctions actually go that high.

I'm impressed by Stout's artwork this time - he actually uses some color. I'm not a fan of Akira but this is probably my favorite that he's done.

I wonder if some people were disappointed by the choice of film. I mean, obviously, it is an odd choice and probably not to everyone's liking, especially when you don't know what you're about to see and expect a Malick thesis.

I am kinda glad it wasn't Tree of Life (as reported on Twitter).

If it was, I would have driven to Austin and done a hit and run on the folks leaving the theater.

I do love the horizontal format that Tyler uses from time to time. I would even argue that the SW set would have benefited from this layout as well...
My two favs of his also happen to be Robocop and Let the Right One In...

Tyler chose the film and the ticket sales were donated to relief efforts in Japan. It seemed like people were pleased - we had a positive response from people after the show.

Looks like Pan is going to be the next print .. and a Horkey to boot! His detail is amazing and I cant wait to see a full image of the poster .. I just hope I can get away from work long enough to grab one!!
