Hi!
We are Vectis Auctions - The World's Largest Toy Auction House.
Vectis was established in 1988 by Roger and Jill Mazillius on the Isle of Wight and their first sale took place in 1989. From the humble beginnings of a shop front and back room, Vectis now occupy an auction site of 30,000 sq feet and a staff of 34.
With a turnover of £600,000 from eight auctions each year offering some 5,000 lots, things have changed - the turnover in 2008 for instance was £6,000,000 (over $10,000,000) holding over fifty auctions each year, selling around 35,000 lots! And achieving a few world records in the process!
A full colour catalogue is produced for each auction stating the number of lots, full description of the item, and other applicable details such as manufacturer, model number, colour and condition. An estimated value of the lot is also highlighted. All catalogues can be viewed on our website too, both past and present.
All auctions are room sales and are held live online direct on our website and on Invaluable.com therefore reaching a worldwide clientèle. Bidding can also be made via post, fax or telephone.
Whether you have a collection of hundreds or thousands, or just the one item, we will be only too pleased to offer you a professional, reliable and friendly service; something we pride ourselves on.
The list of collectable toys auctioned by Vectis is endless and we sell the following categories - Diecast, Trains, Doll and Teddy Bears, Lead, Plastic, Militaria, Tinplate, General Toys including Games, Constructional Toys, Railwayana, Books, Comics and Annuals.
We are now expanding in what is our 25th Anniversary year into new areas - one of which is Film & TV Posters and Memorabilia - so if you have anything we could auction for you please get in touch.
We look forward to being a part of this forum.
