After admiring this poster on Eddie's Film On Paper site, I began looking around for one and just found a copy locally on Craig's List. It's the Japanese B1 size for The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988); directed by Terry Gilliam.

Nice find and off CL, no less.

My local CL has a few posters, usually mass market repros or video store posters that the owners typically insist are "original movie theater posters" and want an arm and leg each.

The same Craig's List seller got in touch with me and offered me a couple more JP B1's. Since he wanted only a $1.50 each, i went for them, as well, as he was debating just scrapping them.  :D

2 different styles for the Spielberg exec-produced film, Innerspace (1987); directed by Joe Dante.

Excellent Craigslist finds, Jeff.  thumbup

The Video Dead is a classic, S.  thumbup

I've been looking for one of these for a while.  The photos don't do it justice.  Thanks to a fellow APFer for sending me the link, a few minutes after it was listed.

Really cool that it's signed by Mr. Mcquarrie.  The guy is a legend, and his signature kind of gives this piece a "fine art" vibe, IMO.

Thanks very much, Ted and Brandon. And certainly better than having them go in the trash bin or paper shredder.

And Brandon..a very cool score on your ESB poster.  cool1

Signed pieces by the artist make them truly special.

Brandon what size poster is this?

I like the wider, white bottom border area, too.

And what makes it great, too, is that it is a poster you have been hunting for, for a while.. and you finally tracked one down AND got it.  thumbsup.gif

Thanks, y'all.

Jeff, it's 17"x28".  It's one of Mr. Mcquarrie's best works, IMO.

I was wondering if that Shining has some indicator about it's country. Heritage listed it as argentinean but I never saw a local WC like that...

That was quite the bidding war for the Wild at Heart...I wondered if it was a couple of Lynch completists going at it. Well done Schan, a great poster for a cracking film.

Jeff - bargain B1's! Lucky man! And yeah, I've always loved that Empire Strikes Back poster too, lovely scene and colours, congrats Brandon!

Thanks, Tob. That and them not being put in the recycler... it seemed the better way to go with them.

This came in last night.

An unfolded (rolled) insert for the 1959 sci-fi film, The Cosmic Man, starring John Carradine and Bruce Bennett (born Herman Brix, and used that name in his earlier Olympic and acting career). The movie looks to be a bit cornball, but I think the imagery/art on the insert is very cool. (And my first insert).
