Welcome to the forum Pierre. A wonderful eclectic mix of posters you have there. I'm curious as to whether you bought these as a job lot from the guy who bought the 2000 posters off the retired dealer or whether you bought these individually after seeing that collection. Is there a particular style or genre of poster that you prefer?

Thank you !

The guy i bought those from has an antique book shop but he also sells some advertising, movie posters, old pictures, etc...Every saturday for several month, I would go to the shop and  check one or two hundred posters. Then I kept those that I liked. I didn't really pay for those, it was mostly trade. For exemple if i had a book that he really liked, I would trade it for 10 posters.
I've seen almost every poster of the collection, there's maybe a hundred more I still have to check.
About the style or genre, I really like the posters from the 50's and early 60's. I love the atmosphere, the litographic printing, you can see and feel the paint, the colors really pop ! that's what I like. Unfortunately I hadn't had the chance to find some posters from the 30's or 40's.
Of course there are posters from the 70's 80's 90's... that I like, but it's not the same.
