Does linenbacking remove stress wrinkles?
« on: June 09, 2010, 08:43:14 PM »
We've all seen posters with stress wrinkles in them, the kind of wrinkles that are slightly raised and jagged. The question is does linen-backing flatten these out somehow?

If done properly it would.

Much the same way it generally softens or even removes fold lines...

I got a poster linenbacked and the linenbacker removed all the rips and tears, and some writing on the back that bled through to the front.  It came out nice and smooth with no stress wrinkles.

Chop-Top, I posted a pic of my HATED poster that I'm getting linenbacked.  Right now I just have the "before" pics up, as you can see it is severely wrinkled and damaged.  I should be getting it back later this week and I will post the "after" pics.  It might be a good reference for you.
