Apparently this is based on the manga 'All You Need Is Kill'. Sweet.

Kinda bummed to read that. I'm actually looking forward to this movie.
I liked Oblivion (it's not the best movie ever, but it was entertaining - and the soundtrack helped) and I don't understand all the Tom Cruise hate.
Oh well, I still plan on seeing it.

I just saw this and really enjoyed it.
Liman can make an action movie.  He sprinkles a little humor in as well.  The premise was kind of clever and overall a lot of fun.  Like Pacific Rim last year, I am disappointed this is not doing better at the box office.  I guess the people vote with their box office dollars, and they would rather see lame sequels and reboots than a movie that took a chance and is quite good.

I have heard good things, but can't get away to see it. Definitely on my list of summer movies to see.

This is very good - Tom Cruise in a non-Tom Cruise role (from the beginning anyway) and much intelligence.

Recommended.

I am a little burned out on Cruise but I really liked this movie A LOT. The creatures could have been a little more developed but overall it told a good story.

Sort of groundhog day meets war of the worlds and saving private ryan.

Or like your evolution playing a videogame learning how to get past a difficult sequence or mini-boss.
