Quickly at first blush....No one hurt me but I think aside from a few like the SW movies, Seven and maybe departed.... I think that that is a pretty solid Top 100.

Sure I would do some rearranging and drop some to the second 100 and move some up to the top 100. This is the the reason for these goofy lists no? To discuss and have some fun...

You're right about Star Wars.
It should've been higher on the list.

The problem with internet lists is that most people don't know (and don't care) about movies made before they were born.  As a result, 167 out of those 250 movies are post 1970.

Plus, it was compiled out of people's IMDb gradings, which really has no relevance.

I like this list much more: http://www.empireonline.com/500/1.asp

On the plus side, I own at least one poster for 163 of those movies...  ;D

Go Bears!

Bingo.
That is exactly why I posted it.

The saddest thing about this list is that it appears on IMDb, the biggest database of its kind.
By producing these 'fan' lists, IMDb is inadvertently helping to bury the past by giving too much credence to contributors who just came home juiced by the blockbuster of the week.  They race to their computers to 'review' the film opening night.  It's an 8...it's a 9.
Before you know it, most of the real classics have been pushed out of the top 100.

Ironic isn't it.

Ted, this is not exactly a fan list.  It is kind of like us putting together a list of APF's top posters and deciding that it is a measure of someone's intelligence.  Since you'd be on top, it is obviously false.
