It's just a matter of time before we find more pix of some of the more elusive, UNI-horror "goodness" in one of these old photos, either out front, showing the marquee or a nice lobby shot.

Lovely images again Jeff. Sad to think how many cinemas have been swept away over the years. The link below shows just how many there were in my neck of woods before they melted away. Even in the Sixties there were more than a few struggling on. I distinctly remember being given a 'Godzilla versus King Kong' emblazoned balloon after one childhood visit.

And our 'Duke of York' which dates from 1910, currently lays claim to being the UK's oldest cinema in continuous use!

A recent pic of a meeting of various studio heads with John Kerry at Universal Studios. I actually saw this same 6sh when I worked there, and I have to say, it is STUNNING in person. This film is one of my all time faves.

Oh to have that on the wall!!  bed1 bed1

It was also on display when Universal did a screening of Phantom at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in 2012. Carla Laemmle was in attendance and actually posed for a few shots, standing next to it.

The frame was made for the poster for the original screening? It has writing on it?

The poster looks great

Not on the frame; that writing is along the top and bottom black borders of the poster itself.

Not only a great line-up of posters, but the head/mask from The She-Creature, too.

The man on the right is She Creature costume/mask creator, Paul Blaisdell.

I notice these are pristine posters, owned by someone who was part of the production, and they are folded.

Just re-enforces my suspicion of ANY pre 1980 unfolded material.

Great pic, Rich.

Interesting to see the text near the top of the poster itself (not the play date info), has different wording ("Amazing Full-Length Feature") than the OS here:
