I'm impressed Jeff can tell that is an ambulance. Looks like a car to me!

Steve, it's the banner on the boot of the car.

It says:  “Emergency Ambulance — for those who can’t take it while seeing THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN.”

OK, I'm booking to see an optomitrist

That is an ambulance, to the right, with the sign on the back, too. More marketing hype, like was done for Frankenstein.

I'd take any of these, but the OS on the far right, with the large image of Karloff is calling to me, too!  I don't recall ever seeing that image anywhere.

And it isn't in the pressbook, either.

Mama mia!! faint2.gif

it's a 40x60

A 40x60... NICE.. and even more of the Monster to enjoy. It looks like it was probably incredibly bold, color-wise, as u mentioned, Rich.   thumbsup.gif

I would bet it has nice bold greens, yellows & pinks as do so many screen printed 40x60s of the time

Does you think it was more locally produced?

Reason I ask, as this style/size/design isnt in the pressbook.

while 30x40's can sometimes be shown in pressbooks (and usually on an inside page away from other posters for unknown reasons) I'm not sure 40x60s are shown in many pressbooks at all and I have maybe a dozen from the 1930s, all obviously printed by the same companies due to format, color & printing techniques

Impressive, Brandon. Wow!

Does it say if that's like a carpet material, or smooth like linoleum?

The photo is from the IMAX Melbourne's Facebook page, and there's no mention of what material it is.
