Boris was asked to help publicise the film, they wanted him to do some personal appearances, with some photo's, Boris agreed, saying "I'll do it as long as I don't have to see the dam thing". As much as I know where he was coming from, I do think this time he was wrong, as I love the film as do many others...  :D

Thanks for the anecdote, Mr. Waines.
I agree that Boris was wrong...that A&C romp is a classic that only gets better with time.
 cheers

Nice Jeff. I wish movies were still promoted this way. It seems like back then theater would go all out to promote a film. Now what do we get a few posters, some standees, and some vinyls. Yippee

When i zoomed in, the image got too blurred. But i think that is a real possibility, Chris.  ;)

You just have to love the ingenuity of movie marketeers at times!

This is for 'The Day After Tomorrow' and links beautifully with the film;

Ok, I'm bending the rules here as this isn't a Spider-man' poster as such but it did make me laugh and I bet the reactions of guys using the 'accessible' urinals was priceless;

Bringing matters back onto topic, the design of the IMAX cinema at London, Waterloo allows for some striking displays especially at night;

Paul.

Those top two are very clever Paul and do deserve a  clap

As marketing depts. focus more on digital media rather than our beloved posters to get their message across I do get a kick out of seeing them thinking outside of the box with promotions like these... just not very practical to slip into a plan chest or poster sleeve!  :D

   Probably jeopardizing my man card here, but Angelina does nothing for me.  I put her in the same camp as Madonna- just too much mileage on the tread.
   "Please step away from the keyboard.  In my unsolicited opinion, you paid too much for your poster," said APF Price Police Officer Thierry.

Are those lobby cards for Star Wars under the vertical 50th anniversary banner and just above the 93 radio truck?

A few more, from yesteryear:

The one 6 sheet in the open foyer, facing out to the street, is for the 1940 movie, called Boss of Bullion City.

A double bill with films of Ronald Colman and Kay Francis:

This for the 1931 movie, Trader Horn. The poster behind the people standing in the front looks quite a bit larger than a 6 sheet, too.
