Indeed. thumbup

Our little boy is growing up...  :'(   ;)

Good job Mike!

 ;D

In fact, I might be 'hiding my age' a bit, as it were, since there's about half as many as these still without pics.  :'(
"I'll get to them", I keep telling myself. "I'll get to them."

I'm assuming you mean the one below, Rosa?
That would be Devils Tower from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. That's actually a print by Mark Englert called 'This Is Important' from Gallery 1988.
There are 2 versions of it, both glow in the dark, but I prefer this version.

Always happy to share. thumbup

The other version is this one (as seen on the artist's blog):

I have to admit that the GITD image on my copy is not as strong as the image shows. Might be that I'm doing it wrong, or perhaps the effect is wearing off, but I still think it's neat.
Anyone know if there's a trick to getting the GITD image to really 'pop'? Using a blacklight perhaps?

Very nice, Mike.
But wait a minute... looks like Rockbiter took a chunk out of your poster.
I can fix that, you know.
Send it along. It might take a few years but I'll guarantee you that you will surely forget who you sent it to.

I'm very intrigued. Apos if this is a non brainer for you. But hsve to ask...

How do they work? Do you need any lighting to appreciate the different colours in the dark  or do these posters just glow in the dark? I am seriously considering getting one for my nephew...(well for me really.just need an excuse!)

I have never put any of my prints up on the wall, so I don't really know what they look like over time (like if they glow every night, how long the glow lasts), but I usually look for the effects when I first get the prints and before I shove them in the flat files.  I just expose them to a light for a minute or so, then turn off the light and check the glow.  It's pretty cool.

I don't condone nor condemn, but you can find this movie on youtube, all 1:34:04 of it (at least as of this writing).

Yeah, I know, but luckily the bite was all background. Missed all the credits and text. I figure it gives it 'character'.
I'd be more than happy to send it over. All I ask for as collateral is that King Kong duratrans. I already have a spot on the wall waiting for it. ;)

The NeverEnding Story?! That sounds suspiciously like my mortgage...

Hah! Or my student loans! :)

They use special inks for the GID effect. From EB: "6 color silkscreen with glow in the dark and metallic ink"

Nope, no special lighting needed, at least for this one. I pretty much did as T described - hold it in the light for a couple of minutes and then go into a dark room. I'll admit the effect on mine wasn't as pronounced as the image above shows, but it still shows. Not sure if that might be due to the seller keeping it in the light or maybe that's as bright as it gets. That's why I was wondering if perhaps a black light might enhance the effect.

Glad you like it and happy to share. thumbup
