A few posters
« on: September 18, 2012, 07:34:06 PM »
End of summer cleaning.

Posters NOT in great shape...

Dracula (R80s) has a few grease spots.  I hate grease spots.
Jaws 2 cost me $135 at Bruce's in 2002.  I had jut started collecting and didn't know better.  Tape residue, strong folds, title highlighted.
Superman has a huge grease spot, center left, visible on pic.
Stardust have huge writing in the back, not visible in front.
King Kong has water damage, not too visible in front.
Two Weeks in September is missing a corner.

Okay, so no one wants them.  A little surprising, but whatever...  In the trash they go.

Oh, now I get messages.  I thought I had been clear in the past...  I NEVER sell.  I donate, or I trade.  This was a donation.  So Rdavey gets Jaws 2 and Ted gets the rest.  Yes, all of it Ted, and you can wipe your Republican ass with the ones you don't want.

Yep. You do have to love his I will never sell stance, crazy as it may sound. I would love to stay in his club but I know I will have to sell some eventually.

Gratz Ted. I just bought one of those Superman posters a few days ago.  moron1

Because I'm a crazy fuck who doesn't believe posters are worth anything.  They are essentially free advertizing.  Unfortunately, I live in a world where people put a price on everything, so I have to oblige.  I do buy posters, sometimes for a lot of money, but when posters enter my house, they lose all monetary value.  They are not for sale, so I don't even know what they're worth, or if they're even worth anything, nor do I care.  So I cannot possibly sell them back.  I can trade them or give them away.

Of course, my wife doesn't see it the same way, so she will have the fun job of putting a price on them after I'm gone.

Didn't your ancestors sell original paintings done by artists many whom gave them away as trade so they could eat, live etc. In fact most of those artists didn't actually value their work at all.

Are you now considered the black sheep of the family as the result of your opinion? ;)

You could always just 'donate' them to Bruce, who WILL put a monetary value on them for you and 'donate' a check back to you.

David/Silhouette is getting Madagascar 1, Madagascar 2 and Gladiator
rdavey26 is getting King Kong and Shrek B1
Zorba is getting Old School

Out of Gladiator
Out of Madagascar Island

Again, I am a slow shipper, and I have to wait for tubes to come in.  So please be patient.
