Wow.
Did a bath do that to the colors?

It was pretty yellow (I think; not white)...  It was about the color of the left edge, so maybe. Had to bleach it.  But that is not my photo - I sometimes forget to take before pics of my posters.  So I can't be sure.

I love seeing damaged goods getting the makeover they deserve.
Great work, Charlie.

New guy. Here is a lithograph that Poster Mountain repaired for me. Great job, people, fast work. I highly recommend them.

The creases are easier to see on the backside.

Front view with creased areas outlined in red.

The back after repair.

The front.

Absolutely perfect. No trace of any imperfections.

Looks fantastic, Oneye
.
And it looks like PM took great care of the signatures, too.

Nice work!

Thank you erik1925! It was an important item for me and PM was great about it. The signatures were a concern but posed no problem. I would have them restore anything in a heartbeat.

I recently had this Scarface 40x60 restored by Lumiere Poster Restoration.  They did a great job and they're nice people to deal with.  It took a little longer than I had hoped, and a few things on it aren't perfect, but overall it's a huge improvement from when I sent it to them.

Before.  It's difficult to see a lot of the damage - numerous creases, tears, damaged edges, pinholes, yellowing, stains (a few that ran almost the entire vertical height), etc.

After.  It looks almost like new.  Upon very close inspection, a few things are not perfect, but overall it's great work.  It's really amazing how it was restored without backing, now it is a lot more stable long-term, as it was cleaned and de-acidified and with gel impregnated into it, and it still has the vintage aroma.  A brilliant method for restoration.

Yep.  I truly believe Poster Mountain is the best in the business.  They've performed miracles, that's for sure.

This type of restoration, keeping the paper more as is, is very appealing. Make the paper structurally sound, repairs to cross fold holes, small tears, and the like, but still be able to see the back of the poster, as well.

And it seems to work well, too, with lessening the appearance of fold lines, too.

Neo, does the paper still feel the same? I've never had hold of one of these Gel treated posters, so I'm very curious as to the texture.
It certainly looks great, but...
It's more than a Hobby...

It feels slightly "treated", but that's all. It is VERY nice!

Thanks, guys.

PW, I agree with Bruce, the noticeable physical characteristics are not much different.  It seems to be a little more firm and flat, great for framing.  I was really surprised when I did the smell test, as still has the vintage aroma.  Kudos to John Davis for pioneering this method.
