I myself prefer the HOUSE OF USHER 1-sheet, the atmosphere is hard to top I think.
Yes I think we were quite lucky in Germany regarding the quality (most of the time). I love Spanish posters, but the paperstock...
German size 59x84cm are ideal for framing (frames for 1-sheets or Quads are really expensive over here). In Germany we especially love the old lobby cards: on thick 'real' photographic paperstock, superb image quality and large sets, sometimes up to 40-50 different cards! It is much more difficult to collect these, sometimes it takes decades to get a set complete (if so) because they are spread out all over the country or were destroyed for good by the distributors in the 60s or 70s before the scene started here and we could save the material. In the US or the UK one 'just' has to have the money and a set of eight can be added to a collection.
Anyway, here are all German Harryhausen posters (no re-releases included, IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA was not released in Germany, shame). only BEAST FROM 20.000 FATHOMS I do not have, only one copy is known, no need to talk about its value
