Unbelievable.

This will go for about $10 in a few weeks' time.

Is that the worst Bond poster?
Gawd.

I must say, the artwork for the advertising campaign this time around has not been the best.
The teaser artwork was nice, paying homage to the gun sight so associated with Bond, but the rest, well, I just don't understand how the artwork was passed.

The agency behind the campaign did not do a good job in my opinion. I could go on, but I am guessing what I would say has already been said in earlier postings.
However, I would like to express my opinion that with the money, cast and crew that has been thrown at Skyfall a fantastic advertising (poster) campaign was expected.

Goldfinger original Italian release - quite a bit more colorful than the re-releases:

I know who the seller was of the £250.00 BINs.
I also know he sold his final copy for £400.00.

I don't think the £250 posters were available at the time of the £366, looking at timelines.

Fantastically, it appears the chap who bought the £366 also bought the £400 poster, but then later sold the latter for £500.  It appears order is restored to the universe!

I think to date, only four have popped up on ebay and this poster may have a similar ride to that of the Park Circus Russia poster in time to come.

Simes - fully agreed.
I was talking to the guy who was responsible for a lot of the photography and interviews for the documentary and even he said the posters are incredibly hard to get hold of.

they may be rare, but essentially its a new documentary and not an actual bond movie. I cant believe the prices will stay this high?

Picked this up today.

Was struck by just how similar it to one I already had, as below.  Apologies for the quality of the image - they are the same colour.

This makes three Dr No / FRWL double feature quads in all.  Inc the one below.

Cheers fellas.

I had personally never seen this poster before.  The second one, yes.  But this one with the boxes around the text, and the curtailed legs and feet, and the placing of another girl...

Simes, really good buy my friend.
Prices are a little inflated at the moment due to Skyfall, but with regards to that poster I think it is about right in my opinion cool1

Also, I thought you guys might be interested in my latest update:

I have a UK DC that says something like 'Connery is Bond'... It's a text poster in red and black on white paper. Does anyone know which movie that one is from?  Thanks!

Depending on the font that was used my best guess would be 'You Only Live Twice'

Email me a pic, Matt.
I think I know what you are referring to but need an image to confirm.

Edit:
It could also be from Diamonds, Paul.
I have something that sounds like this - will have to find it and have a look.

I am quite liking these Skyfall IMAX giveaway posters, they are a better image than the week quads!

Thanks Adam and Paul.  Unfortunately I don't have a photo handy.  I've decided to stick exclusively to Bond quads so I just packed up my only three DCs and sent them off for Bruce's upcoming Bond auction.  However, while two have the title on them, this last one didn't and I was unsure if Bruce would know what film it was from.  I looked around online and in my James Bond poster book, but I haven't come across it yet.  Maybe I can get Bruce to send me a photo so we can identify it before the auction goes live...

Did they issue black/red/white text-only DCs for re-releases as well?  Of the other two DCs I have, one is an original release OHMSS with just black/white/red text and the other is this YOLT re-release:

However, that one above looks like the re-release posters I've seen (usually based on the double bill art).  I don't think I've come across a red/black/white DC that was used for a re-release yet...

As for your guesses, I was thinking either YOLT or Diamonds as well.  It doesn't look like the early DCs I've seen (better quality printing than the red/back/white FRWL DCs).  That said, I was surprised about the "Connery is Bond" tagline... that made me think maybe Diamonds after his return.

The only time I'm aware they went with the 'Connery Is Bond' tagline was on the YOLT campaign which by all accounts infuriated Connery. When he returned with Diamonds Are Forever they played safe with 'as Bond' on the majority of the posters with the exception (AFAIK) of the UK Marler Haley quad.

I'd definitely love to see a picture of your DC Matt and whatever you can find on the subject Adam. It's not often you see unusual/unseen Bond posters nowadays so it's always a pleasure to see something different.

Paul.

Well, I've asked Bruce for a picture so maybe we'll see it soon. And I guess you'll have the rare chance of owning it soon as well! It's going up for sale in Bruce's bond auction. I decided that it's hard enough tracking down all the quads, I don't need to tear my hair out on the double crowns as well.

A nice little display at the Arclight Hollywood.

And yes, every single poster on this display is the size of a OS.
