Back on topic. Just picked up this 40x60 poster for Casino Royale pretty cheap - can't be too many of these left on Planet Earth:

Nice Mel!  That wood flooring looks familiar... There is a guy on ebay that does all his pics on wood flooring...

OK since I had them out. Aussie Bond Press sheets and campaign manuals (with selected internal pages only - you don't need to see pages of text)
Anyways interesting to see what was used in Australian campaigns.

Press sheets

Campaign Manuals

and as peer pressure for Adam to take up smoking (must have been psychic as I have never bought this brand before but 26 in a pqck! even Bond would be impressed)

And after roughly a page of bollocks, a new Bond Poster book is due.

Finally picked up this very odd "one stop" (41" x 76") for Moonraker.  Seriously thinking about cutting it into three one sheets:

Hi,

Has anyone actually seen in person the Anniversary poster yet?

Or do we think it is an online thing only?

Hi there,

Have not seen it myself yet but starting to think it might be a generic image that will be used for promotional purposes later in the year for various products such as compilation cd's etc.

Still hope it comes out as a quad though!

Park Circus will have nothing to do with this.  Their interests lie in occasional re-releases, not new release which is Eon's and MGM/Sony' interests.

An uncommon rolled Moonraker international one sheet that sold recently.  IMHO it's inferior to the other versions - the space setting doesn't mesh well with the scenes on Earth - but certainly well worth snagging if you can find it:

Shame Adam wasn't here. He could answer the Anniversary question, and he's probably got that Moonraker.....

I do.  Folded though.  But since it's been sitting at the bottom of one of my drawers for years, with more than 400 posters on top of it, it should be pretty flat by now.

As some of you may recall, I started a Bond quad collection a while back.  Well, since then I've actually picked up quite a few... pretty much all the Craigs, Brosnans, Daltons, most of the Moores, and the sole Lazenby.  I'm still missing a lot of the obscure ones (some of the Park Circus, Spend an Evening with Bond, etc...), not to mention the really rare ones that Adam posted (Mookraker Seiko, SWLM calendar advance, etc...).  However, overall I felt like I was doing pretty well... except for those damn Connerys.  I did track down the NSNA and DAF quads, but I'm talking about his first round -- the heavyweights.  I figured it would be a long time before I decided to plunk down enough cash to own any of those...

But... as luck would have it, I recently found someone looking to sell some of their long time Bond collection.  Hidden among the lot was this little gem.  IMO, one of the most beautiful of Bond posters!  And, y'all know me by now -- I got it for a very favorable price  ;)  It is a bit rough around the edges and has a bunch of tape on the back that I'll need to remove.  However, not surprisingly I'm ecstatic that I was able to find one at all, let alone an unbacked copy... nearly every one I've seen at auction has been linen backed.

This hobby continues to amaze me... and patience is definitely the key.  While I've always wanted this poster, I never even took it seriously.  Then after a chance encounter and short delay from overseas shipping, the new crown jewel of my collection -- not just my Bond collection, but my whole poster collection! -- is happily hanging on my wall  ;D

P.S. Sorry for the shitty pictures, my computer is on the fritz and these were taken with my phone.
P.P.S. I still want one of course, but suck it Park Circus re-release quad!!!

As someone who has just picked up the Park Circus Russia quad, I am in equal parts happy for you and envious.

I just can't ever imagine picking this one up in 'true' form.  As you say, it is a beautiful poster.

Cheers.

Poster coup d'etat, indeed, HC!

For the rest of us poster mortals, the Italian posters are the best alternative to the UK quad. Here's the 2P:

Reasonably-priced 1970 1P re-releases are also floating around.

Congrats on this most recent addition, Matt. It looks to be on very good shape, too--  and nicely framed, as well.
