Erm ... likely to be left sitting there unsold.
Either this seller has no clue about its true value, if one can say such a thing, or they have a client list like Dave's which is highly doubtful!
Best wishes,
Adam

Or you can buy this one from rokmodataol. :-X

In his ad, he explains why he is using a Stock photo of the poster:

"I am using a stock photo because I have had this poster rolled since before the movie was released and I do not want to try to unroll it and hold it down for a picture. I got this and some others from a studio exec and they have nor been exposed to any light or air."

Not exposed to air?? Has it been vacuum packed or hermetically sealed?   mesmrized

That's crazy, Jeff.
If he has so many, then he should take one out, photograph it and use the same photo for other auctions if the poster is from the same roll.
Best wishes,
Adam

But that could take too long, like over a year even to get the whole photography thing going.

I watched those go by at movieposterbid, but I was bottom feeding this week.  I did pick up the For Your Eyes Only Advance though, along with the IJ & Temple of Doom Advance and 3 others.

Now of course, I don't know what's in his collection, but I'm betting here's one poster even Adam doesn't have!

But maybe in a few hours, it WILL be in his collection!

I'm thinking about buying the Moonraker one stop and splitting it into three posters (the left and right posters will be 26" x 41").  What do y'all think?  Is it a case of the sum of the parts is greater than the whole?

Well as a primarily lobby card collector, I must admit, I bought those two Stop posters and split them purely for the lobby cards.

That was afterall the intention for these things any way.

Hey Mel,
I saw back last year when you were going to send in something to him despite the many posted warnings, but never saw a follow-up.
So what happened to the poster?

He still has it - a $60 Casino Royale poster.  I paid him $110 to linen-back it and ship it back, so I'm out $175.

Unfortunately, I let the 45 day Paypal limit pass, so my only option is to sue him in his local court.  Even though I'm a lawyer myself, the court costs, lost work time, and the transportation to and from New York far exceed the amount lost, so I haven't done anything yet.

If anybody lives near Brooklyn and is willing to show up in court for me, PM me.

Did you try calling them?  Same thing happened to me... After lots of calls and emails I eventually got it back as promised.

Unless you have called him and he has flatly refused to return it to you, you are out nothing at this point. Ive read a few of the horror stories about this guy, but at the same time, if (almost) a year has gone by without any follow up calls by you, then you dropped the ball. He seems very backlogged all the time and a call would be essential, IMO. (On the other hand, if you have called him and he has given you excuse after excuse, resulting in him STILL having your poster, then that is a different matter altogether).

My worry now would be that it could have been misplaced after all the time that has gone by.

Yes, I've called and written numerous times.  After he missed at least five deadlines and ceased answering my emails, I got mad and threatened to sue him.  So I'll just have to deal with him the hard way if I ever get around to it.

There's no excuse for his non response and complete lax behaviour. Did you ever actaully talk to him? Or was it always a voicemail message left for him? Id love to know what his excuse was after the 5th missed deadline (let alone the 2nd or 3rd).

Couldn't you file a complaint with your credit card company?

Did you get this one Adam?  Based on the gun style and the tagline I'm thinking FRWL possibly...?  I actually thought it would sell for much more... FRWL UK paper is quite rare.

I didn't, mate.
Really busy with University and all sorts.
Haven't got the time to hunt eBay and the like at the moment unfortunately.
Was a decent price, too ... Oh, well!

Anyway, hope everyone is doing good.
Speak later.

Best,
Adam

Pretty cool draft slideshow of my Bond posters using the "Shatter" theme in Aperture. This is a large Quicktime file that should play directly in your browser if you have Quicktime installed. (It's a large file so let it load a bit before playing.)
