To respond;

1.  I guess I have been collecting properly for 25 years.  Kinda saw Moonraker and then Eyes Only in '79 and '81 respectively and things took off verrry slowly from there.
2.  I am happy to provide pics of specific requests if there is an interest.  I will try to get some pics up of the double features.
3.  I don't really collect from other films and I only go for the US and UK items, if only to provide focus and ensure this deal doesn't take over completely.  As it is, everything is stored discreetly.
4.  I have the first four films represented by US 1 sheets, but as below, I doubt I will be parting with roughly £20,000 for the six quads for the first four films.

Of everything, I prefer the lobby cards and have even written an article on same said, although it doesn't seem to have any obvious fit anywhere right now.  As such, I just email it to those needing a checklist for this intra-niche area of lobbies

Although these are older photos and clearly there are other posters since bought not represented here.

Very nice quads - haven't seen most of them - the landscape orientation is ideal for double features....

If the double features are your thing, I also have (that have not been photographed yet);

a Thunderball/You Only Live Twice quad,
a variation on the Diamonds/Russia quad that has the printing in the two blank spaces between the two poster 'boxes'. The top box saying 'AND', the bottom showing the United Artisits logo,
a Spend Sundays with Bond quad from Park Circus, similar in style to the A Seaon of Bond quad
the two US 1 Sheets for the Festival in '74
a poster for the '84 festival that didn't take place.

There is also a Goldfinger/Thunderball poster that I am looking for. (If anyone has any leads etc.)

As above, always happy to throw some pics up if there is any specific interest.

Cheers fellas.

By the way, who are the people that pay this kind of money for common posters?    $1264 for a YOLT advance 1-sheet @ Christies

Bruce just sold one of these tonight for what I would consider a high, but fair price of $477.  And I regularly see these in nice condition on eBay for about $300.  Is it because Christies film poster sales are in England and they attract more Bond nuts?  Are they fatcats who can't be bothered to look through past auction sales to see what a fair price is?  Then again, Christie's is probably also partly to blame for putting up such a high an auction estimate of $622 - $933.  The winner actually bid just over the high estimate... but then the 25% BP pushed it into the stratosphere.  Craziness I tell you.

In part it's a pound vs. dollar thing.  My sister moved to UK five years ago and says that even though the exchange rate is 1.5 dollars for one pound, everything that costs $1 in America costs 1 pound in UK.  So the UK buyers perhaps don't really perceive 813 pounds as $1264, which seems extremely high for an auction price.

Christies attract at least three other types of buyer in addition to regular film poster collectors - interior designers, rich individuals and impulse buyers - all of whom may either not know or not care how much they over-pay. They target the former with their Interiors magazine which often features film posters as a potentially cool wall decoration. Rich buyers have usually got better things to do than trawl the internet looking for savings which equate to loose change in their world....and the auction rooms, in an expensive residential area of London, are unintimidating. It is easy for people to wander in and browse. I remember one sale when a girl came in with her mother and pointed to a Jungle Book poster which she said she would love to have - within an hour the mother had won it along with another two Disney posters at vastly inflated prices - I heard her say "I hope Daddy won't mind!"

Mark you must have been sitting right next to me! I remember that every time the girl would whisper in her mother's ear a bid was made.

So right what Marks say's. I was at Christie's big Horror film poster auction back in 02 I think, and a Goldfinger Quad went for £3300+ commission. I was talking to one of the staff, saying mine was in better condition and could not believe how much it went for. He then told me the Guy on the phone bidding was Chris Evans, and he was having it no matter what.
It's more than a Hobby...

The studio recalled - or limited printing of - this View To A Kill UK one sheet movie poster because Moore's white tux looks awkward.  It sold tonight at Heritage for $334.  It looks pretty damn cool to me!
