Hey Adz,
its well known that you have a beef with mel and vice versa however i think having a diatribe on your signature is a bit weird as most people couldnt give a shit. You really seem to be stoking the fire!(for the record i am not attacking you)

I assume he just saw himself acting.

He was being told about someone who banned himself for having some Django LCs

ADZ, please read the following and remove Mel's name from your signature immediately.

The Internet has become a world-wide community and in the process, innumerable forums on every subject under the sun are available where people can express their opinions. Some forums are closely moderated -- that is, someone checks every post for suitability before it is uploaded to the forum. Some forums have minimal or no moderation, only Terms of Service (TOS) that members are expected to follow. Most forums do have some sort of reporting feature for obscene or harassing posts. Still, even with a minimally-moderated forum, is there a standard of behavior? Is there actually something called forum etiquette? The answer is an unqualified yes.

Forum etiquette means maintaining a standard of posting behavior that is acceptable and appropriate. Forum etiquette can be flexible, according to the subject of the forum, but there are certain standards most people expect others to maintain. Some lines must be drawn for the safety of all posting on the forum.

One of the staunchest rules of forum etiquette is not posting personal information about another poster. Even if that poster has all but drawn a map to his house, posting a real name or address is considered grounds for a permanent ISP ban on most forums. This could compromise someone's safety. This is probably the most serious breach of forum etiquette and most moderators take it very seriously.

We don't want to kick you out, you have the right to promote Bondposters on this forum, but using Mel's full name in your signature (to be seen by everyone every time you post) is wrong.

Thank you,

T

Just to confirm, I have listened to a few wise words from one of the moderators and listened to the words of Thierry above as well as Paul, and so have complied with the request to remove Mel's real name and the associated signature, and I also apologise for going against forum etiquette.

I understand forum etiquette, but when did forum etiquette become a part of proceedings on this forum?
It's different when I mention Mel's name--there are rules all of a sudden.
PM me Thierry and let this section of the forum get back to Bond.

Best wishes,
Adam

Anyone ever seen one of these? It measures 20 1/2 x 28.

Check out the bottom of it.

Bruce has sold these:

http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archiveitem/7732736.html

I don't know much about it, but call it a hunch -- I'm guessing the actual value is closer to the second link :)

Thanks Harry I didn't even think to check Bruce's auction history. That's some gap between prices. Lol, looks like someone had a meltdown on the first auction. Or maybe the second winner got a crazy good deal!

As long as they purchased it for under $500, they will make a tidy profit

Correction, switch that. Looks like your second link was for the earlier auction.

Hmm - where did this pop up from?

A recent addition to your holdings?

Lovely.

It's from the next Heritage auction, available for the small price of $4,000+.  If you have a fat wallet and wall space the size of a football field, go for it.

Below are the quad and one sheet proportionally compared to the 24S (228" (H) x 103" (V)):

Mel, either the measurements of the 24 sheet are wrong, or your proportions are off, because I don't think that poster measures (228" (H) x 103" (V) if the one-sheet and quad are placed on it in the right size. Maybe it is a 30 sheet?

This is the correct proportion: 228" =1000 pixels (H), 27" = 118 pixels (H)

So a 24 sheet is Not 3 x 1 Sheets high and 8 x 1 Sheets across?

It was until the late 1920s. Then it became 12 pieces, usually 8 large ones and 4 small ones. But it was too late to change the name.

It's a great image.  I almost want to watch the movie just to see why they're having an underwater battle.    8)

I've been dragging my feet to start and underwater themed collection -- I'm a diver and I know it will get out of hand!  That said, if I do I would guess this is where it would have to culminate at some point.  Underwater scenes simply don't get any better.

Hmmm... I wonder if a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea 24-sheet exists...

Nope.  It's cool, but Thunderball is clearly better!

Interesting that it is listed as a 28-sheet that "Can be trimmed to fit your 24-sheet board"

Interesting.

But also the accumulative dimensions appear not to add up, unless it is/was 2x12 '1 Sheets' in ratio.

Thank you sir.
