And I think the "100 Best Noir Poster List" should inspire all of you to leave them alone to the true connoisseurs!

Umm, why would anybody ever watch a movie?

Do you mean these posters have some kind of connection to actual movies?

Well, I guess you learn something new every day!   8)

There are certainly some near "terrible" films that fit into the noir area.  But in my opinion nearly all of them still have quite a few redeeming qualities.

That fact their associated posters are sometimes sublime only adds to the allure :)

yeah, damn I would have thought about having a go at that.  Daphne du Maurier is my favourite writer (sitting in even place with Heinlein and Poe)

Spotted "The Big Heat" one sheet, surprised it did not make top 100 in prior post.  Note the odd and out-of-place small picture of the man in the right center:

Blonde Ice, linen-backed by King Charles....

ICE in her veins
ICICLES on her heart

a frigid female
whose fury ripped
through men's souls!

Well I don't love three sheets generally b/c they're a pain to display but I couldn't pass up on this One Girl's Confession 3S from MPE tonight!

Much better than the one sheet IMHO:

You might want to scan the NSFGE archives, there is some good stuff there... (signing up for an account gets rid of the advertising, except from Bruce & Rich)

I am not cheating. I will have them, eventually. These are in my ''Will Be Mine'' list. Will post them here, so if anyone of you see them, you know what you have to do yes. HANDS OFF

The Big Clock (Paramount, 1948). Three Sheet (41" X 81")

D.O.A. (United Artists, 1950). Three Sheet (41" X 81")

The Big Sleep (Warner Brothers, 1946). Italian 2 - Foglio (39" X 55"). Martinati

To Have and To Have Not (Warner Brothers, 1945 Post-War Release). Italian (55" X 78"). Martinati

I am fully aware that these are not too original, but they do deserve to be here!

Come one, keep posting. We have to do better than this. Noir4ever.

You may have to become noir yourself, put on your black gloves and invade the Benito Vaults, secured well below ground.
