The size can be an error of the seller (I remember someone purchasing a one sheet listed as a 3 sheet not long ago ;))

Is that because YOU managed to play their evil game and get something early?

Unfortunately sometimes it's the only way to have a shot  :-\

I thought it was strange that fold lines were not very noticeable and it seems to be in great condition for a poster this vintage...
The size can be an error of the seller (I remember someone purchasing a one sheet listed as a 3 sheet not long ago ;))
I had it on my watch list (just to try my luck seconds before it ended)... eyeroll

it is the three sheet and it's obviously on a vintage linen job.

ps: I was going to beat you in the last seconds before it ended, but after you bid

That could have probably happened. The poster is amazing, but I I wasn't going to bid much. Guess if the auction had not been cancelled, it would have received some attention from big bidders.
Anyway, wouldn't be the first jungle poster we both bid on Rich  ;)

ps: did you get a copy of that Dusturan? The same seller had a few more that went way cheaper than what I paid mine...

well, looks like every poster I add to my watch list gets ended early...
This one lasted less than 24 hrs.

This is a beauty, Mathias. I saw in the ad, that the seller had it listed locally for sale, too. It must have sold that way, I am thinking. I wonder what his SALE price was.  :-\

That's almost as brilliant as Jeff "x-raying" the obvious fake Goldfinger poster I posted a while back, which he's now conveniently deleted by the way.
Just noticed this post,it`s because I`m trying to keep up with the Obama health thing..

Mel,It seems you made an error when you credited Jeff with x-raying the obvious fake Goldfinger poster.
I`t was 50`s who posted the image analysis, and it was the site itself that closed down, the image might not have been removed.

Anyhow`s carry on gents..I`m only 3 hours worth of reading behind you lot...back to the OB thread..

I put mels goldfinger poster image to a free website that checks for digital alterations such as photoshopping alterations and it highlights those areas. Sort of a forensics tool. It was rather impressive. I posted a link to the analysis page, while Jeff linked to the actual image. Not sure why Mel insinuates the image was conveniently removed for some seemingly nefarious purpose... The site is not owned by either of us of course, and the site advises the reasons it is no longer available. Mel, you are throwing around more unfounded accusations, and if you didn't notice this detail you should take a look at the post(s) before sprouting off... I thought lawyers had better basic investigative skills than this, like reading some posts, before putting up the guilty card

Not sure why you're reviving minor forum squabble #305 (out of a current 692), but I went back and re-read the posts.  I think I was quite irritated that I posted an obvious nudie fake in the smut thread for laughs and people were ridiculously "x-raying" it to determine if it was an original.  OK so Jeff didn't erase it.  Happy now?

In any event IMHO it is a pretty cool faker (updated with original title):

Presumably me.

What would make me happy would be apologizing when making an accusation of someone that turns out to be false, especially after doing negligible checking first.

But what makes me laugh (somewhat), is that Mel after having done no basic checking of facts and leveling the false accusation, the following was posted yesterday by said person:

you've got a bad habit of running your mouth without even bothering to check the facts first.

I have been shut out. Had maybe twenty five on the watch, bid on maybe seven and am humbled.  8)

Modern posters are doing okay despite the dislike of some.

I am really glad that I got most of the key modern posters a long time ago.  I could not afford to rebuild the collection that I have now based on today's prices.  For fuck's sake, though, I had to pay $145 for a rare Lost TV poster for the first season that I have been watching for for a long time.  It's really hard to buy these days unless you're ready to fork over boatloads of cash!
Best regards,

Holiday

Im new and Im glad I already picked up a few that were auctioned today cause I would not have a shot at some of them now. People have lost their modern poster bidding minds.  ;D

We have the best buyers there are. If any of you have any "better" modern posters to consign, why not bundle them up (super-carefully) and send them our way? That way, it will be YOU who is quietly chuckling next time when the boys get together and are amazed at the high prices.

That's Plan A. Plan B would be to list them on eBay or anywhere else at fixed prices and watch them sit and sit and sit, and maybe make a sale every week or two.

You pick. Of course, this is only if you want to sell them. Personally, I think many of them will go quite a bit higher still (to the point where people will look back nostalgically at some of Dave L.'s 2012 prices!)

Bruce

P.S. But NEVER at Pretty Woman's 2012 price!
