I am very happy to see Ted back. I missed his vids too.  As far as the Misfits connection, I would think some people would bid, but at the price they sold for, I imagine fans of the Crimson Ghost drove it up.
Lowering the brow of APF since 2010.

I assume the price on that is because of the misfits connection? I know Chamber of Chills 19 maintains very high prices even though it is not the best story or cover in the run because of its Misfits connection.

Crimcon Ghost lobby cards are what we cal "exceedingly rare"

Chamwer of Chills #19 (Harvey pubs) sells like crazy BECAUSE of the cover, although the exploding radium cover is the #1 key in that set

after hearing BOJO was named Foreign freekin Minister... I think the UK trumps (pun intended) whatever fiasco we've been exposed to so far with American politics.

The radium cover is Black Cat Mystery not CoC.

CoC 23 is pretty widely regarded as the better cover in that run but does not sell for as much. The price premium is for the Misfits connection.

Nightmare before Xmas lenticular went for $1075.50, just now on HA.

Is that what this would sell for normally (typical market price), Jason?

Yup, that and the 'The 39 Steps' for me.

(Does one miss out the first 'the', if the title of the film starts with a 'The'?

Another beauty, no doubt about it, Simes. (along with its $31+K high winning bid).

And for once, a nice stamped theatre name as opposed to something roughly scrawled at top.

I see a good number of very nice things on HA today so far, have been from the collection of William E. Rea.

Is/was this gentleman a well known collector?

This UK quad for The Fantastic Voyage, just went for $550.00 +BP.  I much prefer this art to that used on the US OS. And the art was done by Tom Chantrell.  clap clap

Big $ for an ugly poster, imo...the Son of Franky much more pleasing to my eyes

Son of Franky is a great looking poster, i totally agree - the colors and imagery really pop! And more big $$ there, too, with it topping just over $43,000.00!!

Just shy of $1m for session 1.

As to William E Rea, he doesn't obviously pop up on a quick search the way Morris did.  Dunno.

Talk about multitasking.  I checked the HA catalog for the first time this morning, went through it while feeding my kids, then went on to play with them all morning.  This is me handing my phone to the train conductor as I'm trying to bid on stuff.

I had 14 items on my list.  I won 2.

On to session 2.
