This incredible beauty, a folded, US OS for Beyond The Rocks (1922), sold for a "Best Of" offer rather than the $11,500 asking price. Looks to be completely unused, with no tears, splits, and with only a couple slight horizontal scuffs or marks to the left of Swanson in the black background.

More stone lithography at its finest, IMO.  bed1

That is a beauteous poster.
Henry Clive was one of the finest artists of that era ...or any other.
I'd love to have one of those.

Amazing condition for a 90yo poster!

Cool that we know the artist too.

Seems 98% of these are re-issues , style #A (Bruce kicking thug with nunchucks) and style #B (Bruce jumping) were by Novograph & had red Titanus logos.

This is prolly 1st issue Enter 2sh , seems most are missing the DB (Dear Bell) logo :

This partial WC for the 1935 Uni horror film, The Raven, sold tonight for $2715.00

It will look amazing when/if fully restored, too.  thumbup

The only other card to surface, and which was also restored to a good degree, was sold by Heritage, back in March, 2009, for $19,120.00 inc the BP.

I wouldn't restore it (recreate) it at all.
Just put in a $2 frame as is.
Well I wouldn't buy it, but if I found it

Everything will look amazing when fully restored.
I think the buyer of this piece should cut it in half again and then restore both halves so they can peddle not one, but TWO Raven window cards...

how far down do you think we can cut it? there's only 40% of the card there to begin with

can we chop it down to "Raven poster pieces" 1" x1" and build a new poster around each piece?

I remember someone selling 1" squares of black cloth that was apparently a backdrop sheet used in some ed wood film cut into pieces and sold as a Collectable piece of movie history.

Will be interesting to see if we see what happens to this.

I just saw someone selling tiny tufts of Chewbacca hair from a costume as well.  A couple hundred or thousand of those and it's probably a great way to make a few bucks!

Amazing Swedish OS for RKO's production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) sold for a BIN offer. Original price asked was $1200.00.

Just an incredible poster with artwork and layout that is almost identical to the US OS.   bed1

$250 from the same seller as the Raven window card (i.e sold for about 1/10 of that one)

It's missing quite a bit of art on the bottom half - including the title

Wonder if it will be 'recreated' because this certainly cannot be a restoration!

LOL that is funny you posted this. I seen this one today on eBay as well. I wonder if whoever buys it will have it restored or keep it the way it is. If they restored it there would be a lot of work that would need to be done. Personally I think I would leave it the way it is IMHO.

I think that it is a great piece just the way it is. It would look wonderful restored as well. It probably would not be a cheap restoration project. Still like the image even with it trimmed. +1 in my book  :)
