A new level of stupid
« on: May 28, 2011, 06:38:24 AM »
I picked up a tube today and took the plastic and one layer of newspaper off it only to discover that the dickweed had rolled two posters around the OUTSIDE of the tube.  What kind of moron would do something like that??  Probably has his bedroom in the front yard too.  Anyway, both of the posters survived without complete mangling, but they definitely sustained some damage due to this guy's utter idiocy.

Huh .. what .. let me get this straight .. the seller took a shipping tube and wrapped the posters around the outside of the tube then went to the trouble of wrapping it in paper and plastic ??? AND the posters didnt sustain all that much damage !?!? Giving the complete stupidity of the seller that is a small miracle given some of the damage weve seen with posters actually packaged correctly :(

Hopefully it wasnt some really hard to find pieces !

A photo of that package, upon arrival, would have been priceless to behold! :o

Impossible to find, and probably wont be found again, unfortunately.  I wish I had taken a photo.  By the time I figures out what was going on, it was too late.  The newspaper was the only thing keeping the posters rolled so when I removed it they just came free.

My job often calls for predicting and dealing with inexplicably stupid behaviour, so nothing tends to surprise me these days.

However, this is way out there! I'd be interested to know what the seller's thought processes were though ... did you ask ?

So, I got a tube today. Decent tube, sealed good, opened up, packing on both end, poster in a plastic sleave, so far so good. Take the poster out of the sleeve and.. they taped the poster to itself to keep it from unrolling in the poster sleeve. Brilliant!

Story ends well thanks to a couple minutes of Bestine work, but ya got to wonder what people are thinking.

not really so bad, but I once bought a fantasia 1st release daybill, and it arrived in just an envelope. Sitting kinda loosely folded in my letterbox all day.
But it survived AOK. Luckily.
