Really?
I thought the 80s had many powerful and dynamic posters for several terrific films.
I always considered it the last great decade of movie poster art.
But that is the great thing about this hobby -- the diversity of style and taste.
 cheers

Oups, Ted, sorry I didnt mean to offend you or others, far from it, clearly it came across quite badly...that goes for my diplomatic skills...! at the end of the day it is all about  whatever suits your style and taste as yousay.

The 80s are considered by many to be an exceptionally good time for movies.  Mirosae, you deeply offended many people.  moron1

Nawww, if people are offended by something like that, then that's their problem.  Opinions are like...err...everyone has an opinion.  Y'all vintage folks can have the Breakfast at Tiffany's, all the smoochy stuff recently in the "Fantastic Film Posters" thread, etc., that leaves more of the awesome newer school 80s, 90s, video one sheets etc. for us folks.  8)

Modern posters were invented to be grumpy about, that's their function and it's important ;)

No offense (whatsoever) taken.
That's the other great thing about this hobby....if we all lusted after the same things, we would be at each others' throats all day, everyday.
I'm a firm believer that there are both shitty and great posters and films from every decade, bar none.
 cheers

So true, Ted.

And, as we know, some truly bad or cheesy films have produced some really great posters, too.  clap clap

Okay, some of you might like this one, but I am very disappointed.
I think it fails on all levels and then -- add insult to injury...
Check out the typo in the blurb above the title. wtf?

Here's the trailer, which has been up since July and has probably been
posted here already.

I agree, that the poster is a little disappointing.  Very ironic that the poster for a movie about one of the best movie poster artists, is a floating head, typo, bland poster.  :-\  They wouldn't mass print it with that typo, would they?

Looks like a good movie.  Thanks for including the trailer.  thumbup

Ted,

Are you talking about the "i" in "illustrator?" It's no typo. The word was printed with a capital "I" is all. Take a look:  8)

I was laughing at Jeff's comment, and then didn't see anything wrong with Ari's comment at first glance.
