Perhaps I should reconsider, who doesn't love a dude with a purple mohawk?

Although this review was none too kind:

1982 was apparently a great year for crappy movies to find their way over to American soil.....If it wasn't for the 70s music played by a kid on his first synthesizer (with his mother yelling at him from downstairs while banging a broom on the ceiling), I don't think I could have made it through the first seventeen minutes of this film....

Best line:

"Here lies the 'Great Scorpion' in pain. Victim of the big bad queers, The Templars. All you have to do is ask and they dare, 'I need your help.' You are not so great now, Scorpion."

Top movie, from the man that bought us inglorious bastards, Bronx warriors, Keoma and much more,
One of the greatest scenes in film involves a very strange initiation ceremony.
Forget mad max, this is a post nuke classic.
His new film, has such an all star cast that will make anyone gasp.

This poster would be soooo much better if it was just Jessica Biel.
Or just Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Or maybe.... just the two of them.....  wynk

Mel, you think the Tank Girl is really bad?  I'd say it's alright and the black light aspect of it is cool.

Jeff, I commend you for including a poster in this thread that is not a post 2000ish photoshop job.  thumbup

I see now, thanks to a PM, that Jeff originally posted the Tank Girl and you were just mentioning that it is a black light poster.    thumbup

Neo, BAD BAD posters abound, going back decades..  ;D

It's just that the ones from 2000 and up are SO prolific as to be everywhere. And it makes it a lot easier to find the really good ones, because they are fewer and farther between.

And only 22 years ago.  ;)

I was looking at some posters from the early to mid 80s..and while many of the movies were not all that great, the posters for those same movies were not all that bad, by comparison. (all subjective, of course).  8)

Really?
I thought the 80s had many powerful and dynamic posters for several terrific films.
I always considered it the last great decade of movie poster art.
But that is the great thing about this hobby -- the diversity of style and taste.
