Love it!  Isn't it amazing to have such a big picture of a director on a poster, even bigger than the stars?  I can't imagine anyone having this kind of power today.

Thanks eatbrie, hadn't actually thought about the discrepancy between the leading actors image and the directors. Have to agree with you tho, the only contemporary director I thought of that MIGHT be able to pull something similar off would be Tarantino... but that's my opinion!

I can think of no one who strikes a more distiguishable profile then Mr.Hitchcock. Besides Tarantino and Speilberg the general movie going public would have a hard time picking out most directors in a line up.  Well I guess you can through a few former actors in there like Eastwood and Howard.

I can.........although it might be argued whether either of these are actually "today".

An Italian 4F (55" x 78") with strong bold colors, from emovieposter. Someone was in a bidding tussle with me in extra time...

tstatum, would agree on the Eastwood front, he's definitely got the kudos and recognition factor.

1941 B1

Schan I think that that 1941 B1 is a cool poster. Dont have to be able to read Japanese to see how they are pitching that movie.

Dude Paul, you gotta leave some time for the rest of us to catch up.  You are continuously coming up with rockin' quads.  I know more than a few of us want a couple of days rummaging in just one pile of your quads  ;D

As for me, I picked up a Better off Dead soundtrack poster.  It sits alongside Real Genius as my favorite 80s comedy; and, like the theatrical one sheet, features Drew Struzan art.  It measures 24x36.

The poster

And here is the original art from Struzan's website.  It can be yours for $95,000.

Its an awesome movie with a character that I feel separates it from the rest of the 80s teen comedy genre.  I watch it every few months.  If you like it, check out One Crazy Summer.  It is the same director and also has John Cusack.  It definitely isn't as good, but could loosely be called a sequel, and is almost worth watching just for the very interesting Cusack/Moore pairing.

Thanks Steve, The colours are much nicer in person, I may have to get a better camera. My good one the images are too big, and my cheap one is as temperamental as a Woman. ;)

I've seen that poster several times and (until now) never saw the shark teeth.

That is a cool Better off Dead poster, Kovacs.  And some nice vintage quads, Mr. Waines.

I must thank Mel for this one, since I may have never been on the lookout for one if he had not posted pictures of his one sheet for the film.  Although I am not much of a "follower", various factors made this acquisition justifiable, including the title of the movie.  :D  I was definitely stoked to see the poster tube upon arrival after spending 9 hours working on my car that I had planned on spending about 3-4 hours on.
