Indeed, but lacking the charm of highly-acidic south american paper.

US is slightly smaller too...but Arg is great way to get the image at fraction of US cost

This Gun For Hire, Argentinean OS (29x43):

What's great to see, tho, too: while it is the same imagery, it is not the same art simply printed on the Arg version. The Arg version was amazingly redrawn:::it was beautifully rendered::: so it is great to look and see the subtle differences, as well, from an aesthetic POV.  ;)

That LAST CRUSADE poster is always overlooked and it is primo indeed.

But Jeff, I beg to differ on the Argentine GUN FOR HIRE.
I don't think it was re-drawn.
Some manipulation around the title and some touch-ups/embellishments here and there, but not new art.

Hey Ted, how was that done?

Would the Arg artist get the US poster and create an overlay of some kind and make the changes that way? Or not add as much color to certain areas? I see, for example, on the Arg copy that her cheeks are not as red/rouged and her eyes are more heavily shadowed. Was the art traced? Or the same image used and retouched?

Not sure whether they used overlays.
Probably, but I'm not sure whether the work was done in Argentina or, by the same artists in the Paramount studios.
While some of the brush strokes in Lake's hair were certainly added, their facial features appear identical in both posters.
As for the rouge, etc., it all looks the same to me on both, barring the color saturation diff between the two pics, which is considerable.

I think the posters posted are great, all bar this one. When there is no light cast on the face there can not be a shadow from it. This irks me but the leg makes up for a lot though...

Maybe it wasn't supposed to be a perfect shadow image, since there are a few other things that aren't a perfect silhouette.  Good eye, though.   thumbup

Regardless, it's a great image.

If you look, you can see the front of her upper body and chest are also in heavy shadow. This means that the created light source was more from behind her and below. Notice, too, that her shadow is quite a bit taller than she is. This also happens with a low placed (or, in this case, painted) light source pointing upward.  ;)

Artistic license.. and me likes this one a lot, too.  thumbup

Yeah Neo, her head tilt, jaw angle are wrong and the the shadow of fingers... and missing thumb... well I reckon Charlie the hand shadow alone makes it much worse now!
